In fact the real issue appears to be that we touch the screen, not what is on it. Maybe that's why they call it a touch screen, and not touch objects ... martin

Hi Frank, Klaus and all, also being from Germany I can confirm Klaus's counter wait theory, and I must admit having missed a train myself for reasons of the touch screen interface at the ticket terminal not working as expected. Also, from our expe…

Hi Frank, I'm working with wacom tablets since almost 12 years now and I'm always keen on playing around with new technology. I nevertheless did'nd buy any of those wacom pen-pc's, because I'm dreaming of huge (!) laser- or LED-beamer-driven display…

Poorvesh (and all) Martin is right, we would have made a huge mistake if we would have said, "throw out your mouse, touch is the answer to all your problems." SpaceClaim is embracing the new interface technology, partly because that is the hallmark…

When I hear people talking multitouch, I frequently get the impression that it is commonly accepted that there will be only gestures and tools will become obsolete. I do not think so. Problably this misunderstanding has been coming up during early m…

Halloween Challenge Winner

It was a great pleasure for me to judge all the excellent entries for the Halloween Challenge. I evaluated these videos using the following criteria:
• Storyline
• Realism of the use case
• Technical finesse and modeling creativity

These videos exceeded my expectations and challenged me to pick a clear winner. I loved that most of them were silent, so the model itself had to speak. The one that triumphed had a strong story line, a customer-focused use case, and demonstrated technical prowess an… Continue

Hi Blake,

Thank you for the support address! I'll send my file today.
I'm working for Senz Umbrellas, the company that makes storm proof umbrellas, you might have heard of it. We were featured as a SpaceClaim case. (http://images.spaceclaim.com/SENZ_Umbrella_Case_Study_WEB.pdf)
Here at Senz we are working on doing more and more detailed engineering ourselves. So we'll be doing everything from conceptual design to final engineering in SpaceClaim.

Regards, Tijs

Dear Blake,

I told Franco Folini that I keep a word document with SpaceClaim enhancement requests, that I update everytime I encounter something while using SpaceClaim. He said I should share this document with you. Are you interested?
If you are, please let me know and I will send this file to you.

Best Regards,
Tijs
