Yeah, I could model underwear, but not in the way you're thinking.

I think what you are trying to do can be done with the tools in the assembly toolbar (align, center, orient)

I use the mirror feature to do this all the time, but agree the mirror relationship oftentimes needs to be 'removed'. I have found that once the mirror feature creates a new solid, a quick copy/paste then delete of the original mirrored solid create…

I have also wanted something like this. I suggested a tool similar in appearance to the Move tool, but it in essence would be a Don't Move tool. You could select solids, surfaces, edges, etc. and click the individual axis and/or rotations to lock th…

Very nice! Much simpler, which I like. I also think the constraint issue is important. I think a solution might be simply a 'Don't Move' tool. This would be a tool that is like the move tool icon, but can be permanently copy/pasted onto surfaces and…

I think because the point being moved is being constrained by the direction of the green arrow, all other objects need to be moved to accommodate driven dimension. To do what you are describing, ie: changing dimension 16.5 without changing the 15.8,…

I personally do not have a CAD Swiss army knife of software to find the right tool for the job, so my 'help' is understandably one-dimensional. I see now that you actually didn't want a solution to this problem with the available SC tools, you want…

This problem intrigued me, you always learn more from the stuff that doesn't work, and since I am still learning modeling in general and playing with new SC features, I thought I would hack at it and learn. I found one solution to what I think you a…

Hi Tyler, we just wanted to let you that you were one of the 10 who participated to the contest and got all the answers right. Well done!

Do work on development of softwares?
I am interested in making a CAD viewer software for smart phones as jar files. As we know that AutoCAD & SpaceClaim creates small size files creating a file reader with couple of basic navigation tools like zoom, pan, rotate, zoom to fit the screen & others like section view, annotations, investigate dimensions and saving screen shots. No way I am expecting any designing or editing tools, but it would be great if we could carry our work in pocket and display the work fast and create notes on it and then work as per our convenience, rather than carrying our system (laptops, notepads), waiting it to start, run the software and locate & load the files.
I have planned a sleek UI for it as well
Hope to get some support from your end

That is true, we could increase our productivity only if we could concentrate more on the design on screen, rather than hunting for tools/commands in UI.
SpaceClaim can understand Mouse gestures (see in SpaceClaim Help), but I feel inconvenience in remembering and using it. I hope SpaceClaim would bring in customizable mouse gestures.
Do let me know your progress on that data input key pad.
Windows has an on screen keyboard option as an Accessibility tool, but I wont prefer that occupying my screen.
But the best thing would be, if Space Navigator could completely replace the mouse.

I really love Space Navigator with google earth, I feel like I am in a virtual flight simulator, but I feel a bit tedious while using it on CAD systems, as it does not completely replace the mouse, so I have to work with mouse, keyboard & now space navigator. I have found some links which mentions a promising results from Space Navigator, but I didn't got enough time to experiment with it

I would try them & send you some review by this weekend, if it could completely replace it with the mouse.

Hello Mr.Wesley,
Welcome aboard my fast moving train of friends. :) I just don't have any idea yet where we are going. It is always nice to be able to share ideas and to get suggestions or help from those with a different perspective. Makes for a beter idea coming to life. Does modeling underwear pay a lot? haha. Have a great one, my new friend.

Hi,Anyone know how to scale the main design window?I design small objects and would like to see them at a 1:1 scale. In other words, if the object is 8mm by 6mm, I would like to see it life-size on the screen. I can do it on a drawing sheet but that…
