I think the major problem with the iPad is that it's a close system (both hardware and software). It only works with Apple computers. While this is OK for an iPhone (I own one), in my opinion can be a significant obstacle in the adoption of the iPad. My (almost) secret hope is that a big failure of the iPad will force Apple to adopt an open approach on all its products. But I don't have any fact to support my wish.

I do not think the iPad is that great. Have you ever tried to make a simple sketch on it?
That may not be it's primary target application, but it is a design basic it cannot offer. Had it an active wacom style digitizer, would I immediately order one.

Hi Martin, the software is already available and the structural module works well. Only the integration will be completed only in 2011: it would be great to add our resources to SpaceClaim support!
